Supercharged Orbs

Have you heard the terms "ghost lights", "spirit energy" or "supercharged orbs"?. If you have looked at much "ghost photography" I am sure you have came across some of these photos, or perhaps you have taken some yourself. While these photos are impressive looking, chances are they are not quite what they seem to be. Many photos displaying bright streaks of white or orange light (sometimes other colors as well) are usually nothing paranormal at all. In fact, often they are photos of natural energy that can not be seen with the naked eye, caught on camera they are sometimes called "plasma lights". Theory suggests that where you have such areas of natural energy, that if a spirit was present it could use this natural energy to help manifest itself. Areas which hold energy naturally may be a great place to ghost hunt, but be careful of the photos that you classify as "paranormal", as many photos can easily be explained. Another cause of light streaks showing up in your photos is a long exposure, this is where your camera's shutter will remain open for several seconds. A long exposure combined with slight movement can make an existing light source appear as a streak of light. When dealing with photos that appear to have supercharged orbs, keep in mind that with a little investigating you might find that the photos you feel are "paranormal" might not be anything out of the ordinary.

These pictures were found on the IGHS website. They claim these photos to be spirit energy.
