Guyandotte West Virginia Historic & Ghost Tours 2010!

Posted in Events by HPIR on the February 5th, 2010

Even though fall is still months away, we are getting started on plans for this year’s latest Historic & Haunted Tours of Guyandotte, WV.

This year Guyandotte is celebrating 200 years of History by hosting a community celebration with lots of fun family events and many historical displays. We are lucky enough to be a part of this historic celebration by hosting Historic & Haunted Tours of Guyandotte during this event. The event is scheduled to take place July 1-4, 2010 and we are working on two unique tours for the Friday and Saturday evenings of the celebration.

More tour information will be announced closer to the event dates, but as right now our plans are to offer a Historic Guyandotte Walking Tour and an after-dark Ghosts of Guyandotte Walking Tour!

Huntington Paranormal proudly operates the ONLY Ghost Tours of Guyandotte West Virginia. We have created this unique  experience to not only teach the history of the area but also to tell some of the stories of ghostly happenings over it’s past 200 years.

We hope you will join us this year on one of our Historic and/or Haunted Tours of the Historic Town of Guyandotte West Virginia (1810-2010)

What’s been going on

Posted in News by HPIR on the May 22nd, 2008

Hey everyone, it’s been a long time since any of us have posted on here so I thought I’d take a few minutes to update everyone on what’s been going on with the group.

Things have been relatively slow in the past few months. We have only done a few private investigations this year, we also did a lecture at the Cabell County Library in March and several of our members were interviewed on the Marshall University produced talk show Up Late. Be sure to check out the video, we have it up on our Video page.

Over the past few months I have gotten many e-mails from people hoping to become members of HPIR, for all of you who are interested please hang on a little longer. I hope to hold a recruitment meeting sometime this summer to allow those interested in joining HPIR to meet us and learn about what we do. I expect by fall things will once again pick up (investigation wise) and we will need to add more people to our team.

We have a few ideas for this summer such as offering a class or lecture of our own to the public. We of course will announce any plans we have on our website, so check back regularly. We do plan on attending the Mothman Festival once again this year, so if you are out and about in Pt. Pleasant during the festival come say hi!

This summer we will be celebrating our 2nd year as a group! We have investigated many locations throughout the Tri-State in the past two years, and we hope to continue finding new and interesting places to research.

At the end of last year we had the great privilege to investigate one of Huntington’s most famous buildings….The Keith Albee Theater. Exploring every nook and cranny of the Keith’s interior was quite unlike any other investigation we have done to date.  The Keith Albee is indeed an impressive structure; however we were disappointed to find no evidence of paranormal activity while we were there.

Keep an eye open in the next few weeks for a new section I plan on adding to the website about the History of Huntington.

As always, if you are have any information on haunted locations to share or a question to ask our team please e-mail us at investigations@huntingtonparanomal.com

Thanks for stopping by!

I have successfully survived my first week of school and even got a 100% on my first Spanish quiz!  Muy bien!

But ugh…things have been pretty strange around my house lately…in both the paranormal AND just plain abnormal sense.  A few days ago my iguana somehow unhinged her cage and went on a little journey.  Fearing that she had been eaten by one of the dogs, I panicked…and totally overlooked her just hanging out in my underwear drawer.  I think she was laughing at me as I was frantically taking my bed apart, fearful I’d find her lifeless corpse underneath.

We’re also having our bathrooms remodeled…and that has stirred up a LOT of activity.  Last Tuesday while I was at school, my mom was here alone.  She said she kept hearing footsteps coming down the hall, someone tapping on her headboard, and horrid crashes coming out of my bathroom, despite there being literally NOTHING in there, lol.

Just yesterday, I saw our “main” ghost come down the hallway and seemingly stop at the entrance to my bathroom and disappear.  He didn’t have a happy look on his face…probably wondering why the heck we’ve gutted HIS bathroom, lol.  A few weeks prior, my mom had another experience while I was away.  She witnessed the front door slowly opening and closing, and the dogs watching someone walk down the hallway.
