Application Process

From time to time we hold open meetings for those interested in joining our team. We will announce any meeting dates, times and locations on our website when we are seeking new members.

 Membership to HPIR is free to any selected applicant age 21 (must be verifiable) or over.

When you attend an open meeting, you will need to bring a photo ID with you.

You will be asked to fill out a membership application and then you will be interviewed by selected members of the HPIR team.

During this meeting you will have a chance to meet with and talk to current HPIR members, and we will tell you all the things you need to know about being an HPIR team member. Don't be shy! Feel free to ask as many questions as you need.

Expect to stay several hours with us at this meeting, we may even offer you a chance to do a little practice investigation with us.

Please keep in mind that if you are selected you will be considered a volunteer, there is no monetary compensation for your work with HPIR. 

Once the application process is complete, we will review your application and interview and make our decision. You will be contacted within 14 days whether or not you will be invited into training.

Not everyone who applies will be selected for membership.
