About Me:

I began HPIR in the summer of 2006 when I started searching for like-minded people to form a group that share my interest in the paranormal. I have met some wonderful people, many of which are still a part of this group today. I am the founder of HPIR; I also organize many of our activities.

I also am the owner/organizer of the Haunted & Historic Guyandotte Tours, which began October 2008. I had enjoyed taking ghost and historical tours in other cities and decided make an attempt to organize something similar in my hometown. With the help of Guyandotte Civil War Days and of course the dedicated and determined members of HPIR, my vision became a reality.

Our group involvement with the community of Guyandotte has allowed us many opportunities and we have made some wonderful friends as a result. This community, in which I have called my home most of my life, has had a less than honorable reputation. While our tours may not completely change the way others view the community of Guyandotte, it has indeed shined a new light on this historic and very haunted little neighborhood.

HPIR is much more than just a group of people searching for ghosts, we are here to help the community. We also are here to help preserve the community in which we live, and keep it's history alive. With every story that someone shares with us about a friend, family member or loved one we realize that there is much more to investigating the paranormal than meets the eye. Each home we walk into has a story to be told, and with each story we share we are helping to keep history alive, no matter how insignificant it may seem. And along the way we hope to provide some insight into those things that we just can't seem to put our finger on.

 

Favorite Investigation:

Dr. Grimes Office has to be my favorite investigation to date, this place has yet to disappoint me. Two out of the three times we have investigated this office, I have experienced something that I can not logically explain. I tend to lean to the skeptic side of things until something happens that just leaves me perplexed. Dr. Grimes Office is one of just a few places where I have experienced something that I could not explain out of the many investigations our group has completed over the years.
