“I organized Huntington Paranormal Investigations & Research in an effort to find more people who share my interest in the paranormal.
I have had an interest in ghosts and haunting since I was young. I have had some personal experiences that to me defy reasonable logic however I have never experienced a “ghost”.These other events in my life had led me to believe there is much more to be learned about the world that we live in. Paranormal Investigation is something that may bring a few more answers to those unanswered questions about death and the afterlife.”
Huntington Paranormal Investigations & Research
I started HPIR based on personal experiences and a curiosity to know more about the "unknown". At one time in my life I was immensely interested in paranormal phenomena but as I got older other things became more important and that interest took a backseat. After years had passed I had an experience last year that lead me back seemingly where I left off. This time I decided to do something about it and I began searching for people like me who were looking for answers.
We held our first meeting on August 6th 2006 as Huntington WV Ghost Hunters. Several months later we changed our name due to a name conflict with another group. Since our first meeting we have found a new name that we can call our own and the group been growing by leaps and bounds. I am proud to say that Huntington Paranormal Investigations & Research is one of the most active paranormal groups in the immediate Huntington area. I as well as all other members have worked very hard to make HPIR a quality group.
I do many things for HPIR such as continually work on organization and structure of the group, recruit new members, organize and head meetings, and help further educate group members in the paranormal field. I and my husband, Co-Founder Dustin, head up a group of board members who serve as the primary decision makers of the group. These members have shown leadership, knowledge and have gone "that extra mile" for the group. I personally have chosen them for this role to help lead HPIR and to serve as teachers, role models and to be a solid foundation for the group.
HPIR is working hard to prove its worth as a quality group in the community. We strive for quality evidence, we do not use anything we feel may be false evidence. I personally do not want people looking at HPIR as another group trying to be like groups on TV. That is not who we are, that is not what we are about and that is not why HPIR was founded. We plan on being around for years to come and providing quality evidence to the entire paranormal community.
